Welcome to my review of the "Renogy 100 Watts 12 Volts Monocrystalline Solar Starter Kit w/100W Solar Panel + 30A PWM Negative ground Charge Controller + MC4 Connectors + Tray Cable+ Mounting Z Brackets for RV, Boat" on Amazon.
If you guys have been to my site or my Youtube channel before, then you know that I like to keep things as simple as possible. This kit is probably as simple as it gets when it comes to solar power setups. That's why I wanted to take you guys through the pros and cons of this starter kit now that I've been able to use it for a few months and put it through several tests.
Generally speaking, I was extremely impressed with how simple and easy it was to set up this system for my van build. Not counting the time it took to mount the panel and route the wires through my van, it took a total of ten minutes before I completely set up and ready to charge my batteries. Renogy is one of the major leaders in the solar industry, and it was easy for me to see why once I got my hands on this kit for the first time.
Very Cool: Inexpensive, Quick & easy to install, Beginner friendly
Not so Cool: Can be expensive to upgrade, No Volt meter
My Final Opinion: If you're looking for a beginner friendly and affordable solar set up, this kit from Renogy will be hard to beat. It literally has everything that you need to get started with your solar setup with room to expand by adding more solar panels or batteries to increase the total usable electricity. Highly recommended for beginners!
